  1. The Contract: - No contract shall exist between ‘Bike and Ski Châtel’ until the 20% deposit has been received. Telephone and internet reservations will be held for five working days pending receipt of the deposit, which can be paid by cheque or bank transfer.
  2. Booking: - The person who confirms the booking on behalf of the other clients in the party guarantees payment of the full cost of the holiday for all those named on he booking confirmation, or others added at a later date.
  3. What your holiday includes: - The price stated is for chalet accommodation on a bed and breakfast basis as described in the chalet description, unless otherwise agreed in writing. Items not included in the base cost are: - travel, insurance, activities, lift passes, ski tuition and equipment hire. Lift passes, and ski tuition can be ordered in advance and paid for in Euros on arrival.
  4. Price Guarantee: - Once accommodation and airport transfers have been confirmed, no surcharges will be levied by Bike and Ski Châtel.
  5. Cancellation by Bike and Ski Châtel: - In the highly unlikely event that we are forced to cancel or substantially change your holiday we will give you a full refund of all monies paid to us. Should you not accept the refund Bike and Ski Châtel will be under no further obligation outside the holiday cost. Bike and Ski Châtel regrets that it cannot accept liability or pay any compensation in the event of us, or other service suppliers, in question could not, even with all due care, foresee or avoid such events. Events may include, but are not limited to, war, threat of war, riots, civil strife, terrorism, industrial dispute, natural or other disasters, adverse weather conditions, fire or other events outside our control.
  6. Cancellation by you:- After the booking has been confirmed, by payment of your holiday deposit, cancellation will incur the following charges:-
    60 days or greater: - The deposit
    Less than 60 days: - 100% of the cost holiday cost
    Holiday balances are due 60 days prior to your holiday. In the event of late payment of the balance Bike and Ski Châtel will send a reminder, should the balance be outstanding for a further 5 working days Bike and Ski Châtel reserves the right to cancel your booking without return of your deposit.
    Cancellation must be notified in writing by letter or email.
  7. Insurance: - It is a condition of booking that every person has suitable ravel insurance cover, including outdoor activities as appropriate.
  8. Services provided by others: - Activities provided by third parties e.g. ski lessons or white water rafting, are undertaken using the terms and conditions of that service or activity. As such Bike and Ski Châtel cannot be held responsible for any non-performance. Any queries must be taken up directly with the activity or service provider.
  9. Travel: - Bike and Ski Châtel cannot be held responsible for late or cancelled flights, or flights missed by clients with inappropriate travel documents. For clients using our airport transfer service, we will make every endeavour to pick you p promptly on arrival of your flight. If, for reasons beyond our control, we will not be held liable for any lost time or cost incurred. We will be available to take clients back to the airport such that clients arrive at the airport three hours before flight departures. Should a flight be missed due to delays by the clients or events outside our control we will not be held liable. It should be noted that from time to time we sub-contract airport transfers.
  10. Security: - Bike and Ski Châtel takes the issue of security very seriously. Clients should lock doors, windows and ski lockers when they leave. Lost keys will be charged at the replacement cost. All personal items, including baggage and skis are at all times at the owner’s risk. Bike and Ski Châtel will at no time accept responsibility for any loss, damage or delay to such items.
  11. Damage by and behaviour of clients: - We shall be entitled to recover from a client the cost of repairs or replacement of any damaged item or loss caused by any clients. Full payment, or replacement, for such damage or loss must be made prior to departure from the chalet, to either the third party concerned or Bike and Ski Châtel. If clients fail to do so, the client by accepting these terms and conditions indemnifies Bike and Ski Châtel against claims (including costs) subsequently made against us as a result of their actions. We also reserve the right to terminate without compensation or further obligation, a clients holiday if it is deemed that their behaviour is anti social, abusive, or in any way unacceptable to us or any other guest.
  12. Complaints and claims: - We sincerely hope, and will do our utmost, to ensure that you have an enjoyable and memorable holiday. However in the event of a complaint we will do our best to resolve immediately once reported to ourselves. Any complaint that cannot be resolved should be detailed in writing to us within 10 days of the end of your holiday, by the person who made the original booking.
  13. Accuracy: - Bike and Ski Châtel cannot accept any responsibility for the accuracy of any information held on our website. We have attempted to supply up to date information, however we cannot guarantee that the details, especially from third party activity providers are fully accurate and complete.
