BY AIR
There are daily flights to Geneva by many airlines, these include:-
www.Easyjet.com, www.ryanair.com, www.Jet2.com , www.flybe.com and www.BMIbaby.com, however don’t overlook some of the bigger airlines such as BA or Swiss as some offers are actually cheaper than the above.
Transfers to Châtel: - By car, there are a number of hire car companies based at the airport. Geneva airport has both a French and a Swiss sector, it’s worth comparing the prices for both sectors as significant savings can be made. Also rather than going direct it can be cheaper to hire your car through www.holidayautos.com, or www.carhire3000.com
By taxi, taxis can be taken from the airport direct to Châtel.
By minibus. Minibus transfers can be booked either through ourselves or through other companies such as www.ski-lifts.com. Minibus transfer through Bike and Ski Châtel costs €150 each way for the bus which holds up to eight people. Note at times we sub contract airport transfers.
BY ROAD
Cross via the eurotunnel or the ferries then take the auto routes through France. Châtel can be approached from two direction.
If using the auto routes via Geneva exit at Annemasse, follow the signs to Thonon, on arrival in Thonon follow the signs for ‘Vallee d’Abondance’, Châtel is located at the head of the Abondance valley. Via Switzerland (the quickest route) take the auto route to Dijon, Dole and then head for Pontarlier. Cross the Swiss border at Vallorbe then take the Swiss motorway (remember to buy a tax disk at the border) to Lausanne, then Grand Saint Bornand. Leave the motorway at Monthey (the Portes Du Soleil) and follow signs for Morgins, after you pass through Morgins you will descend into Châtel.
BY RAIL
From France, the nearest railway station is at Thonon, there is a daily bus service to the resort or we can pick you up. From Switzerland the nearest railway station is Aigle, transfer is then either by local taxi or minibus.
